The renovation of the Grand National Hotel in Paddington required almost a full internal demolition and redesign. Whilst the layout of the pub remained the same to keep in with the style of the area, the internal design became a compilation of both original and modern. Existing brick work was exposed in certain areas, a natural, Australian colour scheme was used and timber feature points were installed to ensure the designed flowed from one side to the other. Custom "tram" style seating was installed to give the Grand National Hotel a point of difference from its competitors, as well as parquetry flooring in the rear dining area.
